Pt. I of II - A brief Sunday stroll around the neighborhood...

So, turns out, the weather Sunday was gorgeous and I woke up sans-hangover. Perfect opportunity to bust out the cam and walkin' shoes. After only a little bit of searching, I think I would be comfortable in calling this neighborhood Yankee Hill. Anyone care to correct me?

This is roughly the area I covered...

This little critter(along with his buddy) was giving me a bit of a hard time, hehe.

Nice pics a cool different perspective we dont always see the street level. Are those buildings under construction the city green and 601?

Thanks clark. I don't think I've ever seen some of those buildings before. That 4-story red-brick building with the blue trimming was especially cool. Also the sculptures of the two old men spitting out those overhang chains. Awesome!

Yeah, these are really cool. I was waiting for someone to do a comprehensive tour of Yankee Hill (which is what I would classify that neighborhood as too).

You really should whittle these two threads down a bit, pick your favorite 30 or so and put them on SSC. These are buildings that most on there probably haven't seen and it would be good for them to know that I neighborhood like that exists here.

Yeah, that would be those projects. They're both coming along quite nicely. I'll be happy when CG is done, matter of fact. My hours have moved back a little later at work and I can now (try) to sleep in a bit later, however these guys sure know how to raise a ruckus!

I agree, and was considering doing that. However, I don't want to further saturate SSC Midwest Forum with more Milwaukee pics at the moment. I didn't hesitate posting them here because it's kinda a dedicated Milwaukee site!
emoticon I'll give it maybe a week or so, then I'll throw them on over at SSC. See it pays to visit this site...SNEAK PREVIEWS AND WHATNOT!
